Who Studio Exchange is for

You must be 18 or over and have a currently verified paid J26 Backstage membership. Free, trial, gifted or unverified memberships do not qualify for this initial service. Signing in does not create or change a subscription. If a valid membership is rejected, contact mark@j26productions.com rather than purchasing again.

One submission every seven days

Send one demo, vocal or collaboration idea in each rolling seven-day period. The studio shows when your next submission becomes available. This first version accepts HTTPS listening links from SoundCloud or Vocaroo, not uploaded files or passwords. Use a link the reviewer can open without your account credentials.

Submission does not guarantee feedback by a particular date, a release, placement, payment, representation or collaboration. Feedback is opinion, not a promise of results. Keep your own master files and copies; Studio Exchange is not an archive or backup service.

You keep your rights

Submit only material you own or have permission to share for private review. You allow J26 to access the listening link and process your submission to provide that review. You do not transfer copyright, grant exclusivity or authorise public release, sampling or promotional use. Any use beyond this service needs a separate agreement. Do not submit confidential third-party work without permission.

Private review and optional discussion

Your listening link, notes, private comments and J26 feedback are visible only to you and authorised J26 reviewers. Opening a Backstage discussion separately shares its title, artist name and type with other eligible members, together with the comments posted there. It does not share the private listening link, notes or feedback.

Sharing starts off. You can close a discussion. Once J26 closes a submission, discussion sharing stops and new member comments are disabled; retained content is still subject to the privacy notice. Closing or losing access is not the same as immediately deleting a record.

Keep it safe and constructive

Do not post threats, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, scams, impersonation, spam or other illegal material. Do not encourage self-harm or harm to others. Do not share private contact details, credentials or information about someone else without permission. Do not use a music discussion to pressure anyone into private contact, payment or signing away rights.

Only open listening links you trust. J26 will not ask for your Patreon password through a submission or comment. Reports, comments, links and files from members must be treated as untrusted.

Reports, complaints and review

Use Report on a comment, or email mark@j26productions.com for a submission, age concern, privacy concern or appeal against a moderation decision. Include the relevant item title or page, a short explanation and the outcome you are requesting. Do not forward suspected illegal files or publish someone's personal information to make a report.

The authorised J26 reviewer assesses reports and may hide or restore comments, close a discussion or restrict access when needed. Ask for reconsideration if you believe a decision is wrong. Moderation and reconsideration are handled by J26, not an independent appeals body. We do not promise 24-hour monitoring or a fixed response time. This is not an emergency service; contact emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.

Privacy and changes

The privacy notice explains retention periods, service providers and how to request access, correction or deletion. Patreon billing and cancellation remain managed through Patreon. These rules do not remove statutory consumer rights. Material changes to this service or its rules will be communicated before they take effect.
